All Jack Slade ever wanted was the American Dream. Work hard, raise a family, enjoy the fruits of an honest living. He punched the clock, worked the beat and earned the rank and respect of detective in the San Diego police force… a nice, shiny success story, until Jack’s perfect life was ripped away. Jack had lost almost everything in one swing…but he wasn’t going to lie down, give up. They'd torn his heart out and left him with vengeance burning in his veins. Someone had to pay, someone had to answer for their crimes. If the legal system wasn’t going to do their job, then Jack was going to do it for them. Jack knew San Diego, every breath an even rhythm with the city's pulse. Every vile organization peddling dreams and death, every politician for sale, every single piece of human trash still choking the streets. It was time for someone take out the garbage. Time for Jack Slade to become... The Street Cleaner Jack had no home, no family to return to, just blood, ashes and memories behind him...but that didn't mean others out there wouldn't need his help: the people helpless to face this filthy world alone, the citizens that rotten system has stepped on and forgotten. They deserve a hero.
