The Warhorse - TINSELTOWN (LIGHTS, CAMERA, ASSHOLE​!​)​(​feat. Street Cleaner)

I met Topher of The Warhorse in 2017 but I didn’t get the chance to see them live until 2018, I’ll get to that in one moment. When I first listened to The Warhorse I was mesmerized by a song of theirs “Welcome to Los Angeles”. I couldn’t quite put my finger on how it made me feel but I liked it. thewarhorse.bandcamp.com/track/welcome-to-los-angeles
I felt The Warhorse was a lot like myself. I don’t like the term “Outsider Art” but this music was made by people who were just doing their own thing, a sound unique to themselves, with little to no care what the modern trends of the synth scene were up to. I was immediately attracted to this project but that attraction would turn to an obsession when I shared a bill with them in 2018. For the first time I got to see The Warhorse in action and they were the highlight of the event. I can’t quite put into words how amazing and energetic their show was and I knew I’d really have to step my game up if I were to follow them again.
On April 15th 2018 I finally got what I had been hoping for, a message from Topher:
“so uh we're working on our new album and this one track is screaming like "HEY I NEED A SYNTH SOLO FROM STREET CLEANER" and it won't shut up about it.”
This was the highest honor I had ever been given. I immediately went to work on it and after some back and forth we had worked out a feature.
OVER TWO YEARS LATER the track would release on the album “It's Been Fun, It's Been Real, It's Been Funereal”

If you look in the background of Stage 3 in Street Cleaner: The Video Game you can see some 16x16 pixel posters for The Warhorse.
