We Eat Like Stars (Demo)

This is it! Finally after all these years, the progenitor of the song “We Eat Like Stars”.
There comes a time when a joke or a gag has served its purpose and run its course. Now unless someone tells me when that time is, I’ll just keep going. “We Eat Like Stars” is a prime example of this:
The story goes, one night in the wee hours of the morning after a packed solid “San Junipero” affair at The Echoplex in Los Angeles, the events DJ’s JakSyn and Samuel Valentine among others were in the throes of starvation on the verge of death and waiting cued up in line at a Jack In The Box drive thru. Mr. Valentine contemplated his selection. Should he get the Nacho Tacos? Bacon Cheddar Potato Wedges? Or the Jumbo Jack? WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? He shall get ALL of these items. All of this for one reason and one reason only, because WE EAT LIKE STARS! Only one quandary remains, how will we remember all this?

This just goes to show that inspiration can come from anywhere. What started as a fun little extrapolation on a fast food ordering binge turned into one of my proudest tracks. A song I made about food and people I love.
JakSyn and Samuel Valentine continue to be a major driving force in both Synthwave and Darksynth with alternating events “San Junipero” and “Nightwav” on alternating coasts, holding events in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and multiple large boat parties. Sam and Jak gave me my very first real big break when they asked me to headline “Nightwave” in 2018 and for that I am forever indebted.
